Our GP Hubs are staffed by experienced GPs and Nurses and offer assessment and treatment for adults and children. Our GPs can help with the following (this is not an exhaustive list):
  • * Urinary tract infections, earache and sore throats, headaches and rashes
  • * Bruises
  • * Stomach pain and nausea
  • * Strains and sprains
  • * Superficial burns and scalds
  • * Care of minor accidental wounds including those that require closure
  • * Bites and stings
  • * Minor head injuries
  • * Minor limb injuries
  • * Minor skin and tissue infections
  • * Removal of foreign bodies from eyes, ears and noses
  • * Emergency contraception
Our Nurses can help with the following (this is not an exhaustive list):
  • * Basic Health Status Checks, BP, BMI, Smoking/alcohol status
  • * Urine dip tests
  • * Dressing changes (please bring your dressing with you)
  • * Suture/clip removal
  • * Post-operative wound care
  • * Vitamin B12 Injections (you must bring the medication with you)
  • * Contraception – Oral Contraceptive “Pill Checks”
  • * Contraceptive – Depo-Provera injection (you must bring the medication with you)
  • * Spirometry screening (not full diagnostic spirometry with reversibility)
  • * Cervical Screening “Smear test”
  • * Vaccinations: Pneumonia | Childhood Immunisations | Pertussis/Whooping cough | Shingles
We cannot treat the following issues:
  • * Routine reviews of mental health problems (e.g. schizophrenia, depression, bipolar affective disorder, personality disorder) – patient best seen by registered/regular GP
  • * Medication reviews
  • * Issuing of repeat prescriptions
  • * Ear syringing
  • * Dental problems
  • * Minor surgery
  • * Open wound injuries for very young children
  • * Injuries where an object has gone all the way through a part of the body
  • * Very heavy bleeding that is not stopping, including nose bleeds
  • * Injuries where broken glass may have entered the wound
  • * Urgent/Emergency problems
  • * Sexual health screening
  • * Contraceptive implant or coil fitting
  • * HPV immunisation
  • * Phlebotomy
  • * Travel vaccinations
  • * Private Letters
  • * Forms
